Purpose of the processing of personal data (purpose of the register)
Personal data in the register may be processed for the following purposes: control and management of customer relationships, sales and marketing, opinion and market surveys, development of customer relationships and business operations, and other comparable purposes.

Register data content
The register may contain the following data: a company’s contact person’s details, such as name, e-mail address, mobile or telephone number, title and position within the company, contact history data concerning the customer and business relationship, such as previous contacts, quote, order and contract details, customer feedback, marketing orders (publications and press releases), customer survey results permissions and prohibitions of direct marketing online browsing data any other additional data provided by customers themselves and other data collected with customers’ consent.

Regular sources of information
Data is collected from registered persons themselves, the controller’s employees (e.g. business cards, meeting minutes), public sources of information, commercial registers and the controller’s own information systems.

Regular disclosure of data
Data can be disclosed and moved to Causalus Oy's subsidiaries in different countries and their databases. The data is only used for the management of customer relationships, and it is not regularly disclosed further. Individual pieces of data may be disclosed to collection agencies for collection measures concerning unpaid invoices. Data may be disclosed to authorities when legislation requires it, however bound within legal borders.

Transfer of data outside the EU or EEA
Data is not transferred outside the European Union or theEuropean Economic Area, unless it is necessary for the technical maintenance of the register. In such cases, the controller sees to the sufficient level of privacy protection as required by the law (i.e. when storing data in the United States, we make sure that our subcontractors and partners comply with the Privacy Shield –act).

Right of access and rectification of data
Data subjects have the right to check what data on them is entered in the register. The request for access shall be delivered in writing and signed to the person responsible for register matters. The request of access may also be presented personally at the place of business of the controller at the aforementioned address. Should there be errors in the saved data, the data subject has the right to demand that erroneous data is rectified by contacting the person responsible for register matters.

Right to prohibit processing
Data subjects have the right to prohibit the use of their data for purposes of direct advertising, distance selling, other direct marketing, market research and opinion polls. The prohibition may be requested from the person responsible for register matters.

Principles of register protection
The only persons with access to the CRM system and files containing personal data are those employed by Causalus Oy who participate in the processing of data as part of their duties. Each employee using the register has a personal username and password for the system. The register is located on the Causalus Oy’s service provider’s servers. The servers have been secured with the necessary technical and organisational measures.

We collect and use browsing data on the Causalus Oy website and digital services (i.e. appointment reservation) in order to implement and further develop our website and services. We do this also to improve your user experience with our digital services, and to better direct marketing operations within the services offered by Causalus Oy or its partners. We may collect data concerning your computer or other device using cookies and other similar technologies.

A cookie is a small text file that is saved on your device, and which a digital service can use e.g. to save your user ID and password for your next visit, or to save the content that you have accessed. Cookies and other similar technologies do not in any way damage your device or files. They cannot be used to spread viruses, nor do they provide access to the files on your computer’s hard drive. Cookies make our services easier to use and help us provide content and marketing that is better directed and more relevant.

An individual user cannot be identified based on cookies, but data received from the user themselves via other channels may be combined with data collected with cookies or other technologies. For example, if you are registered or otherwise identified (e.g. by providing your name and contact details via our website toreceive a quote or a newsletter), we can combine your details across various devices and browsers. In this case, data is collected and processed according to the Causalus Oy privacy policy.

We may collect your online browsing data ourselves and/or it may be collected by our service provider. On our website, we use e.g. GoogleAnalytics. Google Analytics uses cookies, which allow the usage of our website to be statistically analyzed. These cookies anonymously collect data on the web services' traffic, and such data will not be connected to individual users. You can block these cookies with the Google Analytics opt-out function.

Causalus Oy may also use the collected browsing data to produce browser-specific targeted advertising and other content. Causalus Oy may create target groups based on browsing behavior, and provide these groups with advertising and other content that they are likely to be interested in. For this, Causalus Oy employs partners such as Google Adwords. If you do not wish for advertising to be tailored according to your interests, you can block the targeting entirely or only selected parts of it on the Your Online Choices website http://www.youronlinechoices.com/fi/omat-mainokset.
Our website and electronic services may employ social media community functions, such as the LinkedIn follow -button, with content provided directly by LinkedIn. LinkedIn, Google and other similar services may collect data on user visits according to their current privacy terms. Causalus Oy can’t be held responsible for third party content and its use.

If you wish, you can prevent the use of cookies by changing your browser settings so that the saving of cookies is not allowed. For additional instructions, see your browser’s help page. If you block the saving of cookies or otherwise disable their use, some functions on our website may not necessarily work. You can block third party cookies e.g. with the YourOnline Choices service, and have your browser only accept cookies that come from the service being used directly. You can erase your browser’s cookie history in the browser settings. This removes cookies already stored in the browser and the online behavior profiles they contain. However, this does not prevent the saving of new cookies.
